I think this would be convenient.
I heard that there was some talk of this in the past, but it was never realized.
Maybe somebody would volunteer to do it?

I could do it. But I think they have it direct email only to avoid spam?

He means an automated online form i think?
1. Account name and times you can be reached (playtime/timezone) 2. Your character name; details including a bio (not too long please) 3. Details about him/her/it (please include alignment, deity, race, and class) 4. What you're applying for. 5. What you plan to do with it, and why it will be fun for you and others.
It's all right there. Straight from that new player info thread.

No. A form, with fields. Online, web form, not e-mail.
It would be slightly more convenient, but not -really- essential.

Yup, but I think he means an automated one. So that you dont have to self format....
Oh, if you can't even be bothered to type in some numbers and make a semi readable email then....[Mumbles off rambling]
Good idea in theory, but I'd rather have our capable scripters working on scripts I'm requesting to run possible future plots and fix some bugs like the armor AC one mentioned in the announcements forum. The e-mail system works great! Has been for several years now, so I don't feel much need for a change.

Core's got it.
Not essential, I agree. Thought it might be convenient, though.
As for the scripters scripting IG, I guess that's why I suggested volunteers.
this is not a matter of scripting. A simple form is a simple matter done in many ways, including the venerable HTML. A simple WYSIWYG editor can achieve this in minutes.
