The XP says it all.
Indeed.
Dramatic, scary moment. In PvP/Often FD- Rife EFU, I've never truly broken level six. I had an ECL 3 character at 4, And and ECL 2 character at 6, but level 7 has always eluded me.
Until now. The Great White Whale of XP gaining.
The <3

It has been a wild ride.

Ha! I felt your pain for the longest time. I could never reach lvl 8. I really thought I never would. EfU was the first online NWN server I ever played for more than 20 minutes or so. Once I found it, like many, I was hooked. Now I feel like an old salt (with my whole year-and-a-half of online NWN experience :P ).
Just don't think you're invincible now! I learned that one, too!

Sadly, unlike Pup, RwG has been at this for a few years now. He really is the champion of dying early.
Congrats! Now let's see if you can break three weeks.

I got a triple kill with a spartan laser on a warthog today.
I think we all know which first is the best of all.

Once I broke through to 6, staying alive wasn't as tough as it used to be.
There really is a difficulty bottleneck around levels 5 and 6. You're just high level enough to get low exp, and you're just weak enough to die easily.
Congrats on making it through to the other side.

Bets on how long it takes me to put him back down in his rightful place at level 6?
Go!

Breaking the level 7 barrier for the first time, is a lot like losing your virginity.
You've never gone this far before, you get confused easily, and its never as exciting as you first might have imagined.

Congrats.
However
7 (from 6) takes something like, hmm, 12 quests if the average quest gives 500 xp, and you need 6000. Which take about 1 hour each including getting the party and dividing the loot = 6 hours or 360 minutes. Not counting time spent RPing. Given that you can die in about 1 minute...
let's just say you can lose it 400 times faster than it came.

Also very true. the -second- I hit level seven, I had 15 different people yelling at me in tells what spells to take as a wizard. It was so awkward and scary. :(

The first time I reached lvl 6, I was like, All powerful! (or so I thought)
When I reached lvl 7 the first time, I was like Wow!
When I reached lvl 8, I was like, Holy Fuck, Bets on how long Wiggy takes to kill me.
I almost reached level 9, Cold burn killed me.
But nevertheless, getting to lvl 6 is an accomplishment, lvl 7 a feat, lvl 8 an art.
