You made a mistake, just like I did. I advise you find a different path before you end up in moral ambiguity; escaping it is an overgrown track. What you're trying to do can't be done right now, there is no room left for your kind.
Consider if Melinda would condone fraternizing with the dread illithid or animating people for such petty goals the Spellguard is currently pursuing.
