Your new mantle of Councillor grants you no small amount of power. I hope you will use it wisely. Why do you support the heretic beliefs of the "Cult of Ascension"? Their words are obviously those of madmen, yet more fervently spread than those of the Red Skull Temple.

When the people lose hope, there is nothing to crusade for. Defeating heresy and evil is good and all, but we must not forget the constant and repressive burden this dark and dreary realm places upon even the hardiest of minds. We must preserve the goodness and passion in people, else they are truly lost! The Shrine of Ascension promotes goodness, passion, and we genuinely believe that a way to the Surface exists and will be found. Why is that heresy? Those are all very good things!

Think of other organizations in Lower Sanctuary. The Red Skulls, the Pissing Crone, the Gambling Hall. They encourage the worst in people, hopelessness, cult madness, and pure greed. The Shrine of Ascension brings light to Lower Sanctuary. We aren't being false or misleading people. We're spreading hope. If you think that's heresy, I don't know what else to say!

I have been lead to believe by your Ascensionists that your Shrine believes that Frederick Bresley will return in some celestial form and the people will "ascend" to be Celestial beings, also.

Is this the case, or does your Shrine truly support the -physical- way to the surface? If so, you must correct these Ascensionists in spreading false belief.

You may notice that the Dirty Nancies have already been targeted by the Crusade, as the Crone will be.

You're mixing us up! That's the Red Skulls. They believe we're "dead" and will ascend to heaven. The Shrine of Ascension believes that Frederick Bresley found a physical Way. Well, likely more than physical! Probably magical or divine. Anyways, we believe and hope we can lead the people through Frederick Bresley's Way once more. We're not fond of the Red Skulls heresy at all.

I've never heard an Ascensionist say anything else. We may get a bit fanatical, but at our core we believe in a physical route. We aren't misleading anyone.
