[RE: A message of 'truth' and farewell]

Sheriff Azzam attempted to intimidate the Council by opening the trial to the public. He believed that this would force us to rule in his favor. He was wrong. I do not bow to intimidation. He claims that this man should be executed for his crimes, and perhaps he should. However, even as he says this another man who was enthralled by this Illithid has been welcomed into the Watch with open arms. This man was the primary witness in the trial, during which the entire time he was enthralled and willingly admitted that he could not remember half of what happened.

Should you have served a drow, a beholder or an illithid -unwillingly-, Delorin says the Watch should despise you for your actions.

Should you have served a drow, a beholder or an illithid -willingly- AND are part of the Spellguard, Delorin says a fine is enough.

Nevertheless, if Delorin attacks one of our many witnesses now - why did he find Agent Best and I quote: "Guilty of endangering Sanctuary" which is a CAPITAL crime?

These pre-arranged trials must stop - we are all equal in the eyes of the law, Spellguard or not. The consequences SHOULD have been the same.

Sheriff Azzam respects that - and - that is why he did not interfere when one of his Private, Brandon Hammersmith, was accused of murder of a Banite Councilor, a Capital crime equal to endangerment of Sanctuary. In the end, Private Hammersmith was executed in a fair and just manner.

Support the law and equality under the law!

Further information regarding the removal of Delorin Hoaradin from Council will be announced by the Sanctuary Watch and the Council.

Incidentally, opening the trial to the public was my idea. It is amusing that you'd squirm under the eyes of so many, looking upon your trial. As a city, we can continue to take solace in the fact that the truthful, just, and fair have nothing to worry by doing this, while conversely, the corrupt shrivel and shrink, instantly shattering their credibility to the entire city that elected them.

-Pvt. Tubbs.

- The Watch Private in question was set free by the Illithid after a first encounter, and given two days to decide if he would serve or not. During this time he did not report to the Watch, he did not tell anyone of what he had heard or saw. When the Illithid came for his answer, the Watch Private did not say no - he may say that it was unwilling now, but that is ultimately irrelevant. I have to question anyone who lets a former thrall within our primary defense organization.

- This Illithid is certainly a great threat and I should know this. I reported the location of this Illithid OVER A WEEK before I took up my Council's robe when I found out. I offered my aid in killing it, and the Watch refused my aid and threatened to jail me should I attempt to slay this Illithid myself. As it stands, this Illithid is still alive and the Watch has done nothing to destroy it. Since the Watch believe that this Illithid is a danger to our city, as I do, it would be wise for them to actually do something about it.

- A Councilor has every right to judge a capital crime as he sees fit. It would behoove the Watch to open the law book and read it. "Capital Crimes may be punished as seen fit by the presiding judge, a Councilor of Sanctuary." I judged this crime as I saw fit and my judgment stands.

- I am shocked that the Sanctuary Watch would bring up Private Brandon Hammersmith's name. In their own defense, no less. So now our cities Watch has one former murderer and a current former thrall within their ranks. I believe it is becoming evident to the people that there is a serious lack of judgment here.

- Finally, if you're going to attempt to tarnish my good name, then you could at least get it right. I am Hoaradin Delorin, not Delorin Hoaradin. If you are going to twist the truth, at least don't twist my name.
