In FR, do deities value the soul of his worshiper or that an individual worships him and spreads his dogma? When you die, your deity gets your soul and rewards/tortures/ignores you, but is collecting your soul important to your god (assuming he doesn't have something particular in mind, like punishing you for being a screw up, etc.).
Say a priest of Cyric sells his soul to a demon who's unaffiliated with the Prince of Lies (either for personal power or for help spreading Cyric's dogma), but continues to actively work to spread lies, create strife, and do whatever else Cyric enjoys. Would Cyric continue to grant him spells?
Let's say there's more of a difference on the alignment scale. A CN priest of Tempus wants more people to worship his god and puts a conspiracy together so that the country he lives in declares war on another nation (so that soldiers will begin making offerings to Tempus more often). A demon notices this and offers to help him in some way in exchange for his soul. The war would still be held in Tempus' name, and despite the priests questionable ethics, he still does enough to keep Tempus happy. Even though he sold his soul to a demon and Tempus won't be able to collect him when he dies, will he still grant him spells if he actively works to spread the dogma?

Death to all who oppose Cyric. First line of his dogma. I doubt he'd enjoy you selling your soul to some demon. He'd probably only accept you converting said demon to worship -him-. It's thus unlikely he'd continue to grant spells.

Another one? Geez! These hypothetical situations are just that, hypothetical! If situations like these do crop up in-game then they'd likely be resolved in-game.
Generally it must be understood though that souls are very important indeed. Selling your soul to a demon or devil is pretty much resigning yourself to an eternity of horror, torture and evil. It is also something that is going to make your deity sit up and take notice if you happen to be a cleric. How that deity responds is going to depend on the God in question though.

I had several other long winded hypothetical situations, but for your prompt response I'll spare you.
Thanks.
