It crossed my mind, but ultimatly decided against it. While I loved Elder Scrolls III, I don't think IV will be much of an improvement. It's too straight-forward (god, I've used this word 6 times in the last half hour), too little options you can take. It would only be a drag. Although the screenshots look puh-retty perky.

I bought Oblivion yesterday and unfrotunately I can't play it. It more or less laughed at my current graphics card (I think even it called it a stoopid n00b). I'm running a Geforce 5600 FX which has never had an issue running any other game on rather high settings. Doom 3, FEAR, DDO, all run smoothly while looking quite good.

So unless you have a beast of a graphics card don't even think about getting this game.

Been busy with DDO lately so I play little else. However as it lacks solid RP I'll probably be returning to EFU at some point. How's maugh doing? He was one of my favorite characters in early EFU.

Still going strong although he had a close call last week. :wink:

Man, you guys should really buy Oblivion if you haven't already. I wasn't a huge fan of the first one, but this game is just remarkably more immersive. It's like... Baldur's Gate 2 meets Morrowind, with much better graphics then either. :)

A 5600 FX can't run it? Damn..

No matter how good Oblivion is, I've found that I actually like EFU better. Not to say Oblivion isn't awesome, of course. ;)

Just upgraded to a GeForce 7800 GS and the graphics are simply amazing. Especially if you max out your LOD, you'll be able to see for miles. The single most impressive feature is the physics of every object in the world. I slew a wolf on a very steep slope which then proceeded to roll head over heals down the slop finally splashing into a river and began to float.

I'd have to say that the graphics + physics + AI makes this game one of the best I've ever played.

I got it. I'm digging it. I think I would like it a lot more if my computer was a bit more powerful. Might be time for a new graphics card again.

It is definately is a very rich world. I have just been wondering around exploring and have run into animals fighting amoung themselves and groups of adventures fighting. The AI is a little rough around the edges, but things definately react like you would expect them too.

Tons of things too do... Like the others its giving me sensory overload... :roll:

Yeah, its a bit much to take in. I'm not accustomed to "Sure, you're here in a town you have hardly walked into, but i want you to go clear across the continent to talk to this guy". I've tried a few things. A killing in their sleep here, a arena fight there...good times.
