A letter to the Mausoleum, marked: to Veilguard Dusk.

[Written in a precise script, on a yellow-aged page]

Veilguard Dusk,

I have completed the report on the Hornraven's status. After tracking her down in lower, I have determined the following to be true and completely accurate. She is a sorcerer- As such her talents are developed on less varied scale then most wizards. Of her own powers, she has none that lie within the realm of necromancy. She has no fondness for the un-life, or any intent to inspire the creation of these unrighteous beings.

Your scent was accurate on a fine point, however, she did come into possession of a magical instrument- seemingly to contain the spirit of perhaps a bard in life. This haunted lute is not something that she has the ability to make use of, nor is it something she could have created. I cannot find it in me to damn a woman for picking an instrument in the dark.

The only trace of necromancy on her is that of this lute. If you wish it, I can have it brought to you.

Greetings from The Judge,

I thank you for your enquiry, and am glad to hear that the lute is the only sign of necromancy upon her person. I knew she possessed the lute but she refused to hand it over. I would greatly appreciate it if you could acquire the lute from her and provide it to the church for destruction.

If her sorcerous powers include the ability to summon creatures, could you please remind her that, although not a necromancer, the use of certain reagents in her spells will leave such a taint upon her.

I thank you for your aid,

Veilguard Dusk Blade of The Judge
