Mr. Delorin,
Hello! Glad to see you're getting some real work done as Councilor. By the way, have you seen Haldor? I haven't seen him about.
Anyways, I'm Sparklegem. You probably know that already. I got the distinct impression you didn't like me, in fact! A shame. But, putting that aside, I hope we can talk about the Headmaster position. I know you may scoff, and what have you, but I am actually quite a hero among the adventuring community! And, with my loyal companions by my side, I'm certain I could bring much needed credibility to a very important role. Also, if you recall, many of my campaign promises involved Council support for adventurers! (Heroes)
Tell me what you think. I'll be glad to interview with you, so long as you don't light me on fire.
- Sparklegem
P.S. I like your campaign fliers. They're quite attention-grabbing.
P.P.S. Did you write them in red because you had just killed a particularly ferocious fire elemental?
P.P.P.S. Oh wait, that doesn't make much sense. You love fire elementals. What was I thinking? Why weren't your posters in blue?

Mister Sparklegem,
I shall interview you for the position. It may prove mildly amusing and I could use something to lighten my mood. I am going to include a copy of the guild charter with this letter so that you know what will be expected of you. Stop by my office when you have the time.
Councilor Hoaradin Delorin
A Light in the Dark Adventurer's Guild CharterA Light in the Dark Adventurer's Guild is an elite group of individuals dedicated to the safety, protection and furthering of the goals of Sanctuary. They serve at the pleasure of the Council and the Watch, performing tasks that are generally outside of the scope of normal defense, and taking on dangerous missions to explore the Underdark.
- Joining the guild shall require the individual be a citizen of Sanctuary in good standing with the law and a licensing fee of 250 coins.
- Any citizen who aspires to become an adventurer may join the guild, provided they meet the above criteria.
- The guild shall receive no funding unless the Council deems it appropriate to do so.
- The guild shall be run by a Headmaster and the rest of his team, who will simply be named the Staff. The Headmaster shall be elected by the Council for life. The Staff members will be chosen by the Headmaster. The Headmaster will be directly charged with running the guild. The Headmaster shall be held personally responsible for seeing the guild's charter upheld.
- The Staff and Headmaster shall be afforded a place of rest and storage. They will also have the mandate to eject troublemakers from the guild building.
- The guild shall perform exploration missions into the Underdark.
- The guild shall free as many slaves from bondage as possible and bring them to Sanctuary safely.
- The guild shall make all information that they gather known to both the Council and the Watch.
- Guild members are required to make a will; they are not required to direct their belongings to any particular persons or groups.
- When a guild member dies and is beyond resurrection, all items unaccounted for in their will shall be appriased and split between the guild and the council; the council shall auction its items and store its gold in a common fund.

An excellent concept, Councilor. Let's talk it over. Oh and by the way, you may not take me seriously, but you should. I'm quite accomplished!
