[Attached is a scouting report]
Scouting Report; 5th Flamerule 1373Headed to the Windy Canyon, encountered many dead rothe, tracks suggested a large movement of creatures. Toman informed me that they were heading away from Sanctuary. Followed the trail towards the troll's toll bridge. Tracks stopped, therefore we headed towards Sslal'teesh, to investigate rumours of Formian movements.
Encountered Formian Task Masters outside of the Blue Mushroom, kobold Captain's and crew are dead. We encountered more formians on the Eastern Route to the North Shore, in larger numbers and fiecer. We encountered a stubborn formian, apparently guarding the bridge. While we battle with its kin, it refused to move. We defeated it, before pushing forwards towards Sslal'teesh. Further on, we encountered strange tracks. Giant, burnt boot-prints. We followed these foot prints to the North Shore, where we encountered an enormous Formian who we battled.
All around us rang the sounds of battle, we chased it to the Gates of Sslal'teesh, where we encountered the mighty Zolvaldar himself. A huge, great mummified giant, wielding a large greataxe and ranting about his "Pixie Statue". He was single handedly battling the kobolds of Sslal'teesh, calling for their master "Etorix" to show himself.
We watched on, in absolute awe as the dragon swooped down upon him. They battled fiercly, and Zolvaldar brought down the blessings of his God. Finally, Etorix the Shadow Dragon, was beaten and badly wounded before Zovaltar's onslaught, and retreated, leaving his city to be ransacked.
After this, we retreated back to Sanctuary. On the return journey. we recovered two keys, on the corpse of a Formian Commander, which were marked with a "Z" and warm to the touch. Haldor took one, as did II feel these are likely keys to his lair. Now all we need to do is find it...
