Shortly after the election results were announced, my hard drive started makeing a horrible grinding noise, then my scrren went blue..are the two conntected??? After many futile hours of trying to "make it work" I have declared it dead. Might take a few days to get back up and running, so to all my machevelian conspirators, assume Valeric is licking his political wounds in the 'Crone, and hopefully I will see you soon.

Maybe I will finaly buy a system that can run NWN2, ...trying to find a silver lineing in what is a really annoying, not to mention expensive dark cloud.

No, but seriously - that sucks. I know I need a new system in the future too. I am just stalling to wait until I can buy something really nice that can run Windows Vista and the latest computer games with ease. :P (Or until this one blows up. Which ever comes first.)

2. Get a mac. With the market share landsliding over, and the new Intel machines running both mac and windows games, I recommend switching.

Just recommendations, also, what did you do to the poor machine to make it die so horrifically?

Im not sure if watercooler conversations with my boss qualify as insider, but hey, knock yourself out.

Called a friend who makes these infernal machines for a living, he did some stuff, and now my machine is like brand new, literaly, system restored? Not a single program left, except the junk that came with it. I have internet access again, but that's it. Well, I can still check the forums. Course he said it still may go "poof" and die for good. Hopefully only a day or two before I can get ingame..
