Invis bug

Sometimes the monsters can still see you invisible.

Don't monsters get the equivalent of spot and listen rolls too? Is it possible you've just been detected legitimately by the creature in question, Thomas?

hmmm, Animatrons have a good spot and listen? What of undead? Etc...

Basically this has happened to other people, and I've never been detected by Jaden with his uber 17+listen when invis.

And I was on the otherside of the room.

Well, you didn't state any of that in your initial post.

I'm not sure of the mechanics of these other critters (whether they have default see invis etc). Precise examples might help so others more knowledgeable can step in.

If you were merely sneaking, there is a chance they will spot/hear you. If you are truly invis, I've never seen any creature (w/o True Seeing or Tremorsense etc.) actually attack an invisible char. If this is part of the new AI, I'm all for it. But as far as I know, if they don't have True Seeing or some equivalent, they will never detect you. Even standing right next to them.

Creatures may still attack you once your twice in your invis if you drink a potion or cast a spell in the middle of a fight...

It isn't that, enemies that I never seen with See invis applied ((And don't give me the new AI explanation, it isn't that)) are seeing you. I walk around a room invis, and some monster is likely going to see me. For example:

Masth the kobold enters a room full of animatrons in exploration, suddenly -one- and the one farthest away from him charges, shocked that I was seen, I didn't quite believe it was going for me until it smacked me with knockdown and I was bleeding.

Thomas_Not_very_wise For example:

I know you specifically pointed out that it was -one- animatron, but that might be the one in the battle group equipped to see invisible creatures. Without a lot more specifics, it's going to be hard to say if this is a bug or not.

I've never seen an animatron have a ((Didn't see it actually drink this, so I don't know)) see invis potion. And there were animatrons all over the room with the same time. Leon Belmont spotted two of my party when they were invisible yet I could stand right behind him and not get hit.

This remains an annoying bug that I am not sure can be fixed. Luckily it only seems to happen with a select few monsters.

Plenty of you guys manage to chase invisible people somehow. This is just monsters getting back at you for it. =]

Luckily!? One of those monsters in an Ogre Bandit, and damn they hurt like hell. :(

respect to exilestrife!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! much mirth

Thomas_Not_very_wise Basically this has happened to other people, and I've never been detected by Jaden with his uber 17+listen when invis.

Now, why would Jaden, an experienced tracker, let an invisible sneaker know if they were detected? Regardless, if I understand the mechanics correctly, you do get an opposed roll and at least some of the time your MS will beat my listen.

The monsters chasing you while invisible is a Bioware bug. Sometimes the disengage script doesn't fire when you drink a potion. When that's happened to me, I've noticed that if my attacker gets distracted (by a rothe or a wild pig, for instance) it will ignore me afterwards.
