Letter to the Mausoleum

Veilguard,

Having spoken to one of your order and finding that we are in strong agreement with many issues I am submitting to you a few of the laws I shall propose once I am Councilor.

* Animating or Conjuring Undead (of any type) - Serious Crime

* Possession of Necromantic Items - Serious Crime

* Actively Practicing Necromancy - Capital Crime

* Conjuring or Associating with an Infernal or Demonic Being - Capital Crime

* Possession of Infernal or Demonic Items - Serious Crime

* Actively Worshiping Deities of Wickedness (Demonic, Infernal, Shar, Cyric, Velsharoon, Beshaba, Lolth, Umberlee, Auril, Loviatar, Malar, Talona, Tiamat, Garagos, Gargauth, Talos, Moander, Istishia, Set, Sebek, Any Drow Deity, Ghaunadaur, Deep Duerra, Urdlen, Any Orcish Deity, Any Monstrous Deity) - Capital Crime

* Knowingly Aiding Followers of Wicked Deities (Detailed above) - Capital Crime

---- Proposed Law: The Watch hereby have the ability to conduct searches of any citizen, at will and random in search of illegal items or substances that have been banned by the city.

Keep in mind that repeatedly being caught breaking serious crimes will often result in the individual being charged with capital crimes instead. Serious Crimes may result in extended jailing or public humiliation, or manual labor in service of the town, or a fine of up to 500 gold coins (limit may be raised by the Sheriff on request by the arresting officer).

I hope this gives you more insight into my objectives as a Councilor.

Hoaradin Delorin Keeper of the Purifying Flame

Greetings from the Judge,

I am agreeable to all of these laws concerning the use of necromancy in Sanctuary and will support each of them.

I am not opposed to the law on infernalism, although this law has less to do with my work for the Judge than those on necromancy.

As for the law on the worship of wicked gods, as a servant of the Judge it is my duty to see all of the dead reach the Fugue and stand before the Judge for their acts. I only ask that workers of the Mausoleum be exempt from the law against aiding such individuals when we are working with their bodies to ensure they travel properly to the domain of the Judge.

I would also suggest that although the watch carries out these searches for necromantic items, the actual destruction of such items be a duty given to the Veilguard to ensure correct disposal.

I look forward to seeing these laws come to pass,

Veilguard Dusk Blade of the Judge

Veilguard Dusk,

That is acceptable and agreeable.

Hoaradin Delorin Keeper of the Purifying Flame

Hoaradin,

Legislation of this sort is already being crafted by Haldor Longhand and me. Meet with us when the election has concluded and we will take the next step in ensuring that it's passed.
