To clarify, you need to be seeking out as many clansmen as possible for their signatures, not just elders.

You're a fine lad. I've seen you be fearless on the front line of battle right alongside clansmen, and I've seen them lament at your possible loss when you fell. You're already of value to many of us.

Being a Stoutheart isn't only about being tough, and bashing goblins. We're a brotherhood, a family. It's my hope that you become a part of this family even before we decide to make you one of us officially. To continue doing that, you need to meet more clansmen and get to know them better. If you don't meet anyone else, you won't have the signatures you need to complete the pledging process.

Before you can have my signature to indicate my approval for your membership in the clan, you need to do the following: Coordinate with at least two clan members and take along any other pledges or new recruits available (see me for a list when you're ready). I want you and this group to go out and work on bringing back some ore or gems from our mine. You'll need a key to get in and picks from the chest.

You'll have my signature by the end of it, and hopefully you'll get to know at least a couple more of us a bit better. You might even want to ask those clansmen you take along for their signatures if you feel comfortable enough with them to do so.

One last word of advice. Mining is extremely strenuous. The more people you have with you the better. Expect to take turns using the axes so some can stand guard and recover in between shifts. There can be monsters that interrupt work. Keep a restorative potion or two for emergency recovery.

I agree with Dakul's entry. I sure could use some help swinging the pickaxes in the mine. keep up the work and you will be a kuld in no time.
