Right, I am interested in starting a new faction of PC's. This will be modeled off of the "mophia" groups. ((yes, False Latino accent included)) Basically we put on a smile, and donate money to the Watch, and at the same time, we are controlling all the crime in Sanctuary. ((Or is our eventual goal)) If interested send me a PM, and I will give you details.
Main characters please.

I would prefer to see you do your recruitment in game from now on Thomas, rather than assembling a massive crew of undeniably loyal mobsters prior to creation.

I forgot to mention Current characters as well, but I have to get mine to start off as well.

Lofty faction idea... I dont know, I like the Blackgaurd "Kill all mortals, Kill the Triad, Kill all and raise demons to rule this land" evil better then the "hey boss, mr.keligton Hasnt payed his loan" evil. Might be strange tastes though....

After conversing on IRC with a couple people. They told me how I can't start of with an organization already. ((With money as well))
So, this is off.

You can still work towards this, Thomas. Everyone starts off relatively weak and poor, and builds up their empire from there. There have been several successful criminals who've done something along the lines of what you have in mind, but they had to earn it IG.

That's spot on! Past successful player factions such as The Golden Doubloons did this sort of thing.

There was a little known PC faction like this, once. WASN'T THERE STERNHUND!

This would prosper as a prelude, Thomas. Hint hint.
Also, it's entirely possible to apply for something like this if you really wanted to start in the city already.
Finally, let's not forget the humble beginning of the Godfather, Vito Corleone himself. He started off as a family man, an olive oil salesman, who saw a problem to his neighbourhood and family (The Black Hand) and worked to erase it, and ultimately replace it.
EDIT: Sherry, I don't ever want to see you taking sides against the Family again.

We had one of those. It was called the LEDSKIRS. Remember them?
Shame isn't it

Such fond memories. Note that the shield is still there on the wall!
Also, Scalebane is quite correct.

I suggest trying to join a gang, Thomas. There are currently three that I know of in Lower:
The Dirty Nancies: Still rocking, but they've recently suffered a huge blow when several of their leaders died. Canzah needs more men.
The Sugar Sweets: Halflings and children with a taste for candy and capping peasants in the kneecaps.
The Derbies: Thugs who like blue and green, and hang out on the south side of Lower. I'm not really sure what else they're up to.
Getting involved with one of these gangs would be a good start for your soon-to-be criminal mastermind, and is a pretty decent way of recruiting thugs of all kinds.

I'm considering trying to get one of my chars into a gang.
After he mugged someone in lower (which was a complete failiure, I might add) and got fired, he's been a bit without work, and kind of sour.
Hmmm... *considers past rp with gang members*
