There are times I don't think I should've left the comfort of our pastry shop. I could be sitting aside a vast pile of under-chocolates and sweets, lazily sweeping the floors and eagerly devouring as much food as I like. But times must change. If I linger in there I will amount to nothing, and be forgotten.
Not like Sir Elderick the Noble. Such a mighty Knight of Torm. Oh to be as brave and powerful as the holy warriors are. To rain down a furious cavalcade of justice to the wicked! I tried... things will get better. They can't get any worse. I'm out of gold and I'm hungry. Without his fine figure, what good is a Tubbs anyways?

Elves are strange. No really, I don't think... I don't think I'll ever understand them. While doing my daily exercises (need to stop cheating on these) I found a local elf delivering a pie to the Herald. Finding myself overwhelmed by the amazing smell of this pie, I decided right there and then that I must have that pie.
30 coins was all it would cost me! Nattafari was the name of this elf-and boy, let me tell you, dear journal, this elf was the strangest I've ever met. To begin with, he's just not right. He is dangerously, dramatically underweight and insists on feasting only upon fungus and other varieties of strange foods. Come to think of it, every elf I've ever met has been dangerously underweight. Mama should get the shop re-opened as soon as possible, maybe we can bring some joy into the lives of the citizens and locals - and fatten up these skinny elves.
a greasy smudge is seen on the journal paper
Hm. I met with some Watch-folk. I was real nervous during the interview, especially after that rapier-wielding elf cut me up real good in front of that Watch-girl Alyssara and that foul Banite woman. It's hard to say if they liked me, but time will tell.

I've met a girl.
large chocolate smudge
No really! I have met a girl, and she wants me to lose the weight, for good. She told me Mama Tubbs has been lying to me, tricking me, and keeping me down. I'm just not sure what to think... maybe this Lathanderite is right.
No, she has to be right. From here on out, I swear on Papa's gravestone I'm gonna drop this weight once and for all and prove Mama Tubbs wrong.

The Watch is real tough. I've never met so many strange people in my life. I know my brother Wally was strange by the way he played with the chocolates ...
But these elves are even stranger. The one elf, she'll talk your ear off, but hasn't got any emotion at all. That other elf, seems real interested in looking like a big tough guy, despite being about one third my size. Must be some sort of mental complex the short folks get.

I've taken the oaths, and things have started to change. I can feel the divine power of Him channeling through me. Perhaps, just perhaps, my meeting with the Lathanderite has sparked the divine touch I was hoping for. With my oaths complete, my service to Torm begins, and hence, the rest of my life is spoken for. May I never let Him down, and may I see all evil cleansed from this plane.
