It has come to my attention that the gnomish counciler, Pepto, has been arrested for treason and is sentanced to either be 'snapped' or 'stoned'. There's little that can be done, I'm told, and I've consulted a watchman about it. As of such, I believe we're going to have to resort to somewhat shadier tactics to allow him freedom once more. I don't really care how it's done, so long as it's done. We want you're help.

The letter is left unsigned. Though the handwriting is slightly hindered, a clear sign that it was either someone who hasn't been forced to write in a while, or someone with a perminately damaged hand wrote it.
