Ok so I updated my computer to XP and I got a new flatscreen. Now my menus are all screwy lookin on NWN. Check the pic. Any thoughts on what I must do to get it looking normal? Thanks in advance.
Slight problem
Looks to me like your 1337 Rig just pumped up the resolution to show off.
If you want more humane menu sizes like b4 the dope screen upgrade, simply change (lower) the game's resolution through the menu.
I'll give it a shot. That was probably the one thing I didnt try. Stay tuned for the next episode: The Case of the Duel Monitors.
You damneds with new comp. I'd buy new one, but I'm leaving to army after some months and I wouldn't want to waste money to buy a comp that I would only use... When ever I get on vacations.
Just reset your resolution to small. But to be honest I'd leave it with that.(actually I do) It allows you a better perspectve even if it also allows you to tye onger lines and still see what your typing.
That's the resolution I play at. 1280x1024.
Just head on to options and turn on 'Use High Resolution Fonts' if you find the text too small to read.
Like everyone said it's due to higher resolution. You get used to it, it's kinda nice actually. You can play at lower resolution (yuck) to get it back to the way you're used to.
The only way I could get full menus was to drop it to 800xsomething. And frankly, ta hell with that. I am adapting and I think I found a happy medium with a little tinkering.
It's not "screwy looking" trust me, thats how mine is all the time. I play in 1280 x 1024. You get used to it, I don't click my hotkeys anyway, I use the keyboard. Side scrolling takes a bit of getting used to, as the sides are a long way away, but no thats normal.
If side scrolling is really a problem for you, you can hold down the scroll button and move the camera side to side.
Best feature of a resolution that immense, is that you can have three windows open at the same time - say, inventory, character window, and player window. Or any combination of these windows, actually. It's damn handy for quite a few situations. (Bartering while checking feats comes to mind, bartering while also trading with an NPC merchant as well).
I hope NWN2 has modular menus, which you can just resize and move around. -That- would be nifty user interface design.

Trying to remember every single spell I had with a level 10 wizard... not as easy as one might hope.I hope NWN2 has modular menus, which you can just resize and move around. -That- would be nifty user interface design.

Now I've got a duel monitor set-up (finally found the adapter I needed). I'm digging this. I can have EFU playing on one screen and have the EFU website open in the other. This is coming in handy for my Tiger Eye because I can have a case file open as reference. Downside is that if I click anything on the website NWN minimizes, but is still nice

Use two computers instead of two monitors.
cawilaUse two computers instead of two monitors.
Yeah, I'll get right on that. Some how I'll manage. My intent for two monitors was more for photoshop and stuff like that. Gaming benefits are mearly a nice side effect.
