Letter left at the Gambling Hall

To whom it may concern,

I am seeking contact with whoever your current respresnative is. I have no idea who that is. I have a rather lucrative buisness oppurtunity. I am distancing myself from sanctuary for a week or two do to recent aggrevations with certain members of the citizenry.

If you wish to find me, leave a letter with Rak and I will send further directions.

Alarond Blackwell.

a letter is left following the directions- No promises, but we can speak when you return.

-Mr. West

Mr.West,

In my current absence from sanctuary I will be seeking someone to sponsor this oppurtunity. I have other interested parties. I have no intention of waiting weeks to talk to you. If one of your representatives cannot leave the city to discuss it, then I'll have to tender my offer to my other interested buyers.

scribbled once more, left with rak

Mr. Blackwell,

Underdark is a dangerous place. Even moreso for a ledskir. I don't give a damn who you are trying to duck, but if You wish to talk, come to the Gambling hall.

If you have an offer to make, you come to me. I will not traverse underdark for an offer I know nothing about, from a man I've many questions of his character.

You know where to find me.

-Mr. West

It is not a matter of trying to duck as you so eliquentally put it as a matter of research and buisness. I thank you for your prompt correspondence but it is clear that you handle no affairs outside of sanctuary and therefore I need to contact others. I thank you for your time.

Rumors are a dangerous thing Mr.West, I would think a ledskir would understand that more then most.

[a note is left with Rak]

Oh, Mr Blackwell, You are hardly in any position to discuss what people do, or do not think. Only a fool would think I don't do business outside sanctuary, when I hardly venture there myself. You see, Sanctuary ends at the gate. As for the issue of me handling work outside the city, again, also false.

I've enjoyed the frivolity of our correspondence, a charming break from the other business I'm forced to do. A common tip of business etiquette: You aren't selling business, you're selling yourself. Sadly, Mr. Blackwell, Your pitch needs work.

Where's the hook? "Mysterious work outside the city"? Oh dear. I'm squirming like an Elf before an elm. "Lucrative" Oh dear, once more, you've me frothing like a Dwarf before an unguarded keg.

Half Truths get a man further than blatant concealment of information.

Do enjoy your stay outside of Sanctuary, and should you return from your "Experiments" in one piece, feel free to stop by the Gambling Hall for any more information you may require. I'm always glad to help a fledgling businessman make his way in the world.

-Mr. West

Mr.West

My apologies if my lack of buisness sense strikes you as upsetting or dismal. The fact is I have a found a wide variety of leaks in a vareity of orginzations and I find in recent times that putting down specifics of any plan down onto paper is a foolish trade.

I am a potion brewer not a master mind of the merchantile matters. I find your tips welcoming but little good for me in my current situation.

The lack of security in lower along with the lack of security your orginzation seems to provide of late leaves me little reason at present to return with in gates. I will finish my projects undisturbed and perhaps when I return I'll be willing to have a wine with you. Assuming your bartender still serves applecap wine.

If you ever do find yourself outside the gates perhaps I'll correspond with you then. Till one of us goes to the other I wish you well.
