Letter to the Watch, Spellguard, & the Temple of Hoar

Greetings,

I need to inform you of a theft having occurred in Lower, at the Temple of Hoar.

Upon completing the task of clearing undead from the crypts, a Spellguard aspirant, Alarond Blackwell, conspired with another of our party member, a man named Ving, to relieve the coffins of anything found within.

When members of our party protested the looting, Alarond spoke the words, "If you don't approve, take your share of gold and go. All others, join me below." And, thus, he descended again to where Ving was in the process of robbing the tombs. This can be confirmed by Acolytes of the Temple, who were standing in the presence of these words.

As I refused to assist them in the endeavor, I do not know what all they took, but I'm sure you can determine this by checking the coffins to see what is missing.

I am sure that the Spellguard do not condone such behavior. I am sure, also, that the Temple of Hoar would not wish these two to return to their grounds again.

I am available as needed to offer testimony. Others in our party included a Dr. Profidious Vile, an elf called Unebril, a corporal of some sort by the name of Richard, and a woman named Yaki.

Thank You for Your Time, Saika Monk of Mystra

[A response is left at the Last Stand and the Pissing Crone]

Citizen Saika --

Mr Blackwell can be considered a "Spellguard aspirant" only in that he has several times failed examinations held by different Agents, one of the reasons being his arrogant and improper attitude. Your report only confirms what we had already concluded: Mr Blackwell does not seem like a fit candidate for a Spellguard Agent. It is a pity that he has managed to attach the respectable name of the Spellguard to himself in this manner and in relation to this unfortunate incident.

If anything needs to be done about this theft, I am confident that the Watch will be able to handle it.

Sincerely, Agent Best

Thank you for your concern, Mrs. Saika.

This will be looked over and the required actions will be taken.
