...I'd like you to respond here or send me a PM with what you remember of the trip.

I'm looking any all characters that ever quested with Tarnis, what the purpose of the trip was, what the result of the trip was and anything else you remember about it. If you could also leave your character's name, appearance and general persona that would be great also.

This also goes for DM's too! I know he faced lots of DM controlled villains so if you recall any of those events please contribute!

The reason is that I'm writing a series of short stories involving him and his adventures in EfU.

Some of it will be greatly exaggerated with other stuff being totally fictional altogether, but I'd like to include as many real settings and journey's as I can in the stories.

Some of the larger influences (to help jar people's memories) were anyone related to the House of Light, a series of banites including Praetorius/Kayne Balesman/scythe wielding dwarves/etc, Zau/Sqeagle, the 'original' Stouthearts Akevvit/Rollo/Figgy/Meggum/etc, Seekers Grey Jenkins/ruby/the gnome engineer seeker/, a few of the watch/Salina/bungo/meriam/durris/and the other grumpy watchman of that era, the red wizard of thay who escaped, Kain Darkblade, that greatsword wielding gnome fighter, a red and white paladin of Illmater that was assassinated near the start of when I joined.....

I'm sure there are more, but I'd like as much help from the community as possible, since this character was a my first and I had lots of good memories of him so I'd like to put as much down in my stories as I can.

Tarnis and Meriam, lustily scouting ahead on goblin fort while their eyes all-too-often lingered on each other and their hands could barely avoid leaping out, resulting in mass party death when we tripped a deadly electric trap.

The after-quest make-up session was amazing, though. Or so I heard.

More in-depth memories of Tarnis to come soon! He was one of the greats of early EfU, and I'd love to see his story commemorated. Everyone else, help DJ out!

I remember tarnis my char was all. Hes a crazy halfling.

I remember Tarnis well, especially when I was playing Eowung the Eilistraeen priestess in the House of Light. They met in April last year and their first quest together sticks in my mind -- we did the Hook Horror quest with just Tarnis, Eowung, Dell Lannesen and one other guy.. it was the first time I'd done Hook Horrors as well, and we rocked it (though Tarnis fell a couple of times :P )

There were lots of other times with Tarnis but that was the time they met and initially got to know one another.

Tarnis new kyle as well and there was always that ball that he arranged at town hall to draw out Zau and the aftermath of that with them all running off into the machine chasing a mysterious masked man that was a lot of fun if you want more send me a tell and i will recount what i can rememeber.

I will try and come up with some cool stories about Tarnis and Kain (my first EfU char, and basically my first NWN multiplayer char) Kain and Tarnis got pwned by quests together so many times I lost track...

I loved Tarnis!

P.S.-- How many times did we do Ogres? It was ridiculous. :lol:

The infamous backstabbing Spellguard incident.

Dal had little respect for Tarnis when after despite repeated warnings the latter managed to get a party of four or five people killed during the ettercap quest -- not once, not twice, but three times in a row. I believe it took at least those three on-the-spot respawns from Tarnis and his buddies before they managed to get away from the spiders instead of just getting killed again.

Dal wasn't stupid enough to be among those who died, of course. :)

Adella, Tarnis and a group of other adventurers went out looking for a legendary shop that Tarnis had heard about, and wanted to find. Stocking up on provisions, and wary of the fate that other groups Tarnis had lead out in search of this mytical place, we ventured forth from the gates and were lead to the Dark Canal.

We fought off wave upon wave of umber hulks, gnolls, and other assorted nastiness; losing everyone else in the party except for Adella and Tarnis. Until we met a pair of Deep Frogs, who proceeded to rip Adella to pieces, ignoring Tarnis as if he wasn't even there.

That's the only time I really went exploring with him. :P

I also remember (nothing to do with Tarnis) that i wound up in Eowungs room at The House of Light as we prepared for the trek into the machine :P At least he didn't try and make moves on her.... :shock:

ruby and tarnis did a lot of questing things together...might be worth checking out ruby's journal might help a little.

That's right Adella was a watchman wasn't she? And this was the time when the party got seriously jacked when someone foolishly attacked an umberhulk before we were warded? As I recall this is when your body was dropped in a pond and I carried you to behind a rock and we hid for a while while I tried to sneak back and get your pack, right? somewhere in there I remember the dire frogs coming after us and yes, you died. I had to carry your body back to the city from there.

Any of this ring a bell?

Could you please send me a pm or further describe Dalabrac. I remember him as not liking Tarnis much, yes, but aside from that I'd also need a physical description as well as why you didn't like me (for personality references).
