The Spellguard believes that Lower Sanctuary deserves its freedom. One of the many reasons we withdrew from Old Sanctuary was its refusal to understand that the role of the powerful in this city is to protect its citizens from the monsters of the Underdark, not from their own free will.
As the Watch seeks to exert its influence over Lower Sanctuary with the actions of Sergeant Sunnelar, the Watch likewise seeks to exert its influence over our Magocracy. Our settlements are not traditionally friends, but if the adage of the enemy of my enemy holds true--I would meet with you to discuss ways we can help one another and manners in which my Society can remain out of Sanctuary Below's prerogatives.
