To S. Lem, left at the temple with the council stamp.

Dear Father Lem,

I have heard no word from your theocracy since the unfortunate encounter at the gate. I have kept those crying for revenge from acting for the moment, but there voices grow louder as the silence lengthens from your territory.

As I stated at the time, I believe that rebuilding the toll gate with your men’s labour, handing over the offender, and paying reparations would be appropriate for this unprovoked act of violence. I don't doubt the offender is very rich, perhaps his goods could go to the watchmen and their families.

I will bend over backwards to prevent civil war. It is the last thing either of us need, but without some positive sign of cooperation on this matter I fear that the hounds of war will have their way and nothing either of us can say will stop that.

Please reply quickly, lives hang in the balance.

- Councillor Aledrec of Yhaunn.

P.S. I understand you are responsible for the removal of the goblinoid undead menace in Lower. We are all in your debt.
