Pissing Crone Inn Music

Can the music for the Pissing Crone Inside be changed to like a Tavern/Pub/Inn themesong like that cherry one with the laughing drunks etc?

I just dont think the current music fits in?

As someone who plays a char that spends a great deal of time in the Crone, I whole-heartedly agree. Though I'm usually listening to my own personal collection of tunes, anyway.

The eerie quiet of the pissing crone marred only by the occasional cry of anquish fits the pissing crone perfectly.

Damn you Shelkin!

I always thought the "Copper Coronet" background music would fit it just per-fect.

So I got it from somewhere and messed around with overrides to replace those bmu files somehow, I haven't been overly successful so far, though.

And I guess I would get the Copper Coronet music in other totally unsuitable places, too.. Ahh well.

The generic inn music gets really friggen annoying, in my opinion. The Crone is not a cheery place, at least for the vast majority of the time. I think it's fine as is, unless another suitable song can be found to reflect the seedy, smelly, shadowy inn we all love or hate.

Try turning music completely off. I find it helps immersion -- it's not like invisible stereos are gonna start playing battle music if you get attacked in real life. More importantly, though, all the eerie ambient sounds in the module are emphasized when they're the only sounds you hear, excluding voicesets. I find that the ambience of Mycopolis, for instance, is pure genius -- props to whichever DM is responsible -- and it wouldn't be the same if there was some disembodied music playing in the background.

Doesn't work for everyone, but for those who haven't considered this, it's worth a try.

I hate the generic inn music so much.

Incidentally, though, I actually try pretty hard to pick appropriate music. You'll notice any "machine" type area has the battle music that has the sounds of steam hisses and the like, and so on.

But I just hate the generic, cheery inn music.

My favorite music in NWN was inn music.

A kinda slow, depressing...Harp?

Don't remember what it was called. I think it'd fit the crone perfect.

----Harpsicord?

Like Anthee, I am much more interested in ambient sounds than music when I'm surveying the boundaries of the vast and treacherous caverns that form the home for all our characters.

Music tends to bother me when playing the game unless the music has a very specific and important purpose. Missing ambient sounds, which can often be picked up upon for roleplaying purposes, on account of a continous and repetitive music score, isn't something I enjoy experiencing.

Haha, No no.

I meant what the song was called in the toolset.

I'll look for it when I get bored.

Ah. Found it.

Tavern 3.

Its a little up beat, but with the proper setting it can be kinda eerie. especially the beginning.

Leave it as it is.

That style isn't so bad, but doesn't strike me as appropriate for the menacing Crone. It used to be used for the Rock Bottom, and maybe is still used for the Last Stand?
