Watch Notice: Illithid Thralls

Citizens of Sanctuary are advised of thirteen pregnant women and one young child, clad in tattered slave garments, who arrived in Sanctuary on the 19th of Mirtul, 1374 D.R. The pregnant women are actually hosts of illithid assassination thralls made to look like children; the single child is one of these assassination thralls. Should you see any suspicious individual whom you believe fits either of these descriptions, avoid her and report immediately to the nearest Watch Private. Citizens are also advised not to allow any suspicious individuals to take refuges in your shops or private residences.

Information that leads to the detention and capture of a thrall may be rewarded with a sum of coin ranging from 100 to 500 pieces of gold. Under no circumstance is a citizen to initiate an attack against any individual, regardless of the suspicion surrounding him or her. Citizens are also warned that the assassination thralls may appear as children, but they are in point of fact highly deadly; the tell-tale sign of their affiliation is a secretion of ooze and slime around the feet and extremities of the child.

The thirteen women are also advised that, should they allow the Sanctuary Watch to isolate them, every measure will be made to keep them alive and free them from the enthrallment that grips them. It is the promise of the Sanctuary Watch that, if they surrender freely, they will be afforded every courtesy and chance at salvation.
