The Spellguard will be pleased to deliver any and all help as we discussed previously.

To facilitate this process, I need a favor of you however. Please draw up a contractual list of the obligations and incentives for both parties involved in the operation between the Spellguard and the Stouts. My superiors will require this to release the necessary animatrons to remove the blockage, and help secure your endeavor.

Specifically, we do wish some assurance that a full report of your expedition can be made available to our order so we can learn more about the Chosen, the undead eyeballs, and the Machine at that depth. As well, we wish assurance that any useful or unusual Machine parts will be granted to us in exchange for our aid, or offered to us at what we can accept as reasonable prices.

With this contract, signed by yourself or a duly appointed representative, our aid will be granted immediately.

Contract between Clan Stoutheart and The Order of the Spellguard

Background

This contract is to facilitate the driving back of the Chosen and undead eyeballs from the area commonly known as Barak Tor.

The Contract will be deemed complete and ended when the Chosen and undead eyeballs have been driven back to such an extent to make the area safe for general habitation in line with the norms of the area known as Upper Sanctuary.

Payments and Requirements

The Order of the Spellguard will provide the following services as their part of this Contract:

The removal of the rocks and debris blocking the staircase which leads to the area below Barak Tor.

The means to block, cave in or otherwise stop continued Chosen and undead eyeballs moving towards Barak Tor. An example of such a means would be a cave in as a result of a significant explosion e.g. alchemical powder. Clan Stoutheart will advise where this is best done.

Clan Stoutheart will provide the following when in reciept of the services as outlined above:

The Mechincal Ball will be given over.

Any items deemed to be of the 'Machine' will be offered to The Order of the Spellguard for a reasonable price (coin, further assistance or magical items) dependant on the uniqueness of the said items. If any dispute arises as to an items origin the gnome known as Roarin Blimfrickin will be sought out to decide it origin as an independent arbitor.

Any such exchanges will be negotiated, agreed and completed when the mission as outlined within this Contract has been fully completed.

A full report completed by our chanter Hafur Rhur and aided by our Loremaster Pharnos Kovath, will be given to The Order of the Spellguard. This will be sent within 5 cycles of the completion of the mission and will signify the official closure of this contract.

We have discussed the matter and are comfortable with Agent Sennik coming with us. There are two things that we will require before comfirmation though.

Firstly Agent Sennik is to be responsible for the removal of the blockage on the stairway, as the Spellguard representative, and also the means to collapse a tunnel, when a suitable one has been found.

Secondly, which ever Agent accompanies us (this will also apply to any other individual/group who assists us), will be under the direct command of the Thane of Clan Stoutheart.

If the Agent cannot agree to such we would ask that an alternative be put forward.

The reason for this is simple. We cannot have disorganisation within the mission, i would imgaine a group such as yourselves would appreciate such.

We treat Barak Tor as our lands much as you would treat your area as such, we would expect the same requirements should the roles be reversed and Stouts were supporting a Spellguard action.

Please make clear in your response, for the removal of any doubt in our minds, that the Agent agrees and is comfortable accompanying us under such circumstances.
