Hey everyone,
It's looking like I'm going to have to be away for an extended period. I've accepted a position teaching English overseas for a couple of years. That's going to leave me with very little in the way of gaming time
I've really enjoyed my time on the server and making so many awesome friends. Out of all the concepts I tried, my most successful ones were Unelor Ginfaluin and Cort Jorino. I've had a great time playing them both.
My thanks to the players and the DM staff for the wonderful gaming experiences and RP opportunities. All my best wishes for the future as well.

I enjoyed playing with both Unelor and Cort.
I taught a bit of English conversation in Japan, no I did not teach any typing skills trust me, and enjoyed it. I do wish you luck.

Great characters! I remember stomping skulls with Unelor as Brendan back in the day. Sorry to see you go.
Have fun, and good luck!

Have fun and good luck. See if the country you are headed to has the internet... you might not be as restricted as you think.

Best of luck with the ESL teaching.
Once you get the hang of the lesson plans and course content, I think you'll have more free time after work hours to possibily game via the net.
Mind you, as SARF has pointed out and from my own personal experience as an ESL teacher many years ago, it's a great opportunity to meet people [especially smokin' hot chicks :P ] and explore a new country.

Thank you all for the wonderful well wishes and advice. It has been awesome. Hopefully, I'll be able to come back after a while...once I meet all of those "smokin' hot" Japanese chicks heh heh. Not sure how well NWN will run on the laptop yet, but will check in on the forum from time to time. Looking forward to gaming with you all again in the future.

From scenic Hitachi, Japan :P It took them a month to get my internet up and I had to buy their lovely "hikari fiber" cable connection to have it at all. A big thanks to NTT for that heh heh.

It's looking like I may have anounced my retirement a bit prematurely. The job here isn't as massively time consuming as I had thought and this cranky notebook will run NWN without much trouble. I guess the moral of the story is not to anounce your retirement until you're darn sure you can't come back for years. On the positive side, I'm glad to still be able to hang out with everyone and enjoy some good RP times. Sorry to everyone about not being accurate in my belief.

Glad to see you realized that you can have a balanced work-play lifestyle while in Japan. Sit down with some takoyaki and come back to Lower where you belong.
