Concept ideas

I need some ideas, MOnd and Frum are getting boring, And I think EFU is losing its flare to me, I mean I know I was waiting for the server to be back and all, but ...its distant now, not something I would spend 5 hours and going in one sitting. that's why I need some help coming up with some ideas, I hope ya help!

I got a few... Sure they've been done before... Well, the first one is there because I complain, but just ignore that.

-There aren't many real spellcasters. Arcane, I mean. Start one, make a backstory, and go from there. Hell, I'll be starting a Sorcerer soon-just to refill the caster population.

-A deeply religious Fighter or Bard. Bards don't seem to be religious on EfU-they're all *Strums lute* and crap. Fighters are just that-fighters. The only deeply-religioius fighter I've seen on EfU was Cort Jorino (?). Where the Hell are all of you bards getting these lutes anyway?

-A Rat-Ranger or Rat-Druid. Only one I've seen was a character named Tristan played by Idunno. Rats are *****in' when someone preaches the word of the little mice.

Sorry. I had more ideas, but I completley forgot them.

TaoB

Make a character who would act in situations exactly as you would. Create this character with a very comfortable, easy to play, and not necessarily "unique" class (Cleric, fighter, and rogue are all very flexible classes). Then get yourself into dilemmas, plots, and stories. Try to make the character last as long as possible. Don't give up on it, even if you meet frustrating deaths and such.

Hopefully, the end result will be very rewarding and very interesting to you.

edit: In essence, this is a challenge to "roleplay" as little as possible in the terms we often use it (crafting a fictional character), and "roleplay" as it is most often used (immersing yourself in a fictional setting on a hypothetical basis).

Ninja.

Lithe, Buxom Elf.

Lowersmen

Nine, if I could see you, I would kick you, And....the lowersman claims to be free but is a slave to idealism,,,,I want to try a pefectly pious...I tested a kossuthan and I had some great feed back from the server dm's....*evil grin*

Lower Loons are looking for more nut cases. Make one and join us in shaking down grannys for their gold!

Here's a few ideas I've been kicking around the last few years...

1) A Multiclass Wiz\Fghtr of Mulhorandi Origin...

Design your character with dark skin, bald head, some black tattoos. When you get IG, purchase clothing leaving the torso and arms exposed (baggy pants and a big belt). Run around shirtless and wielding a rapier on the front line.

Character Basics

Prioritise Dex and High Int

- Take Weapon Finesse - Take Expertise and Improved Expertise - Cross Class Points into Tumble for Improved AC (should have heaps spare due to high Int) - Use Spells that enhance your AC\Combat, such as mage armour, etc.

2) A Multiclass Cleric\Ranger - 'Grizzled Undead Hunter'

Multiclass Cle\Ran - Consider Kelemvor as Deity as this suits 'grizzled' rather nicely. Get yourself an assortment of undead-bashing style weapons (Maces\Morningstars\Axes and the Like), including a scary looking heavy crossbow to complete the look. Get some chewing tobacco and spit a lot. Don't forget to wear black and track those Vampires down baby!!!

3) A Druid\Shifter but apprentice yourself to another Character who plays around same time and be his\her animal companion (wolf\panther form works rather well) - Emotes are very cool when shifted and there's a side of RP you could explore here, without using words

4) A Fat Elf

5) A Pirate

6) A Halfling Paladin of Arvoreen

Love seeing those little guys in full plate on the front line...

Don't forget to have decent STR so you can get Power Attack and unlock the divine shield\strength feats (or whatever they're called exactly...)

Double post FTL.

You know, I wouldn't mind seeing some more senile old people. Of course, not directly the type of asylum-senile, but the sort of senile that causes them to every now and then have really big, gaping holes in their judgement, but other than that are actually quite high up in the personality stats.

Apply for an illithid! A Neutral one, too. You'll be masterfully instrumenting plots from the safety of the *spoiler* and you'll reach level 3 in one or two DM events! Think of the challenge! And you'd get to use the OOC illithid brainsuck widget.

And DC 28 Hold Person, man. 28!

Or do it like our dearly beloved Dr.Dragon. If he can get all those applications, so can you. I can't wait to see your half-dragon!

Oh! Apply to play a rat! An INTELLIGENT rat that can talk! Become the most powerful sorcerer in sanctuary! As a rat! That's so awesome I might do it myself.

I sense a hint of mockery in Jasede's voice.

But, in all seriousness, listen to Secutor. Wise as well as smokin'.

I actually applied for an Illthied once....It was rejected on the basis of it having 15ecl, and the server wasn't ready for an illthied player...now that I think about it....He would of been slain right off

Have you tried playing a evil character? Both mond and Frum are somewhat light. Why not try a controlling necromancer.

Or you could do a drow determined to join the council.

Oh, Thomas has played many, many evil characters...

Swahili

4) A Fat Elf

This one gets my vote. :p A rare species, I actually saw one years and years ago. I thought they had gone extinct!

Anthee Oh, Thomas has played many, many evil characters...

*Counts his character vault* I number about....25 evil characters.
