We need druids, There are only two druids I have actually seen active, and that is mine and someone else's. The druid's faction is Mycopolis, and that is the least active faction with the death of Gudmundur, and Straik.
Druids!
The only reason I haven't made a druid is that I can't seem to figure out an appropriate character concept that I actually want to play. I have no concept of what a druid would act like in the first place, outside of the typical "nature lover" or "poison lover" characters.
I have a fairly small inventory of druid stereotypes in my brain, so if anyone knows of some source material or maybe even some good fiction, I'd love to hear about it.
Let me just make a push for mycopolis:
Druids are not the only option there, not by a long shot. The region takes an overall stance that wild is better than machine, be that in the way you view life, your dislike for the city, your love for plants and animals, or just a hatred of the machine. Any class, any race I can see fitting in there if played correctly and with the right background.

Druids can be what you want them to be so long as they respect their bond with nature. I played a mad scientist druid. Youd normally expect that type to be wizards, but not so. I recommend picking a diety and finding a way to work with it. yeah breen picked talona, but im saying pick a nature diety, find its dogma, and use it in a natural sense.
I will preserve the balance by cleansing sanctuary with fire. i will preserve the balance by stopping trade on the river by the blue mushroom, helping preserve aquatic wildlife. or on the contrary, i will preserve the balance by destroying sanctuary by flooding it somehow with dams.
the possibilities go on
I am just saying, Mycopolis needs to be more active, You see folks making there back grounds in lower, what about Mycopolis?
i will definitely see you in mycopolis - i love druids; have no real concept for them - i have no concept for any character i play as i tend to set them a very few 'givens' and let the character develop through play and interaction. i don't think i've ever had a character i have enjoyed playing over time that went the way i assumed they might when i started with them. i also want to play a decent cleric, but as i have no real idea about 3.5 rules i have difficulty in getting the domains and gods fitted together... must find a sensible guide (i have a priest of lathandar who cannot cast spells as his domains are wrong - healing good and life i think fwiw - he keeps begging for death as his deity has deserted him - still believes in him but not a great playing choice, though full of RP options). whoops thread drift - sorry. druids druids druids - i'll get to mycopolis as soon as i find the server up!
Try making a more Celtic druid or Viking-style priest (which definately fit within the "Druid" framework better than the Cleric framework). Would love to see one of those instead of more militant hippies. Would also love to see a Druid actually act more "religious" than "I r Malarite pwnz0r powerbuff with spells! Religion r for weakzies!".
Keep in mind the background for your druid though and it may provide some vision of how your character would act. Not all druids are born druids. Not all druids need to keep balance by destoying Sanctuary.
I have a druid who started out as a thief in a town who escaped into the wilderness as one day the gallows approached. Saw a unicorn and met up with druids and changed his life around. As a follower of Lurue he "protects for the needy, forlorn, and forsaken." But will he look to the Beacon and help the needy of Lower or to the Seekers and the surface, "Search for the unicorn and in the pursuit find happiness.
Look at the deities and think up some ideas and you will have a druid.
