Goblin camping?

I hate to sound like a whiner, because I know goblin life is all about survival. But after seeing a few of my fellow gobbos get camped, and hearing about other deaths, I thought I'd ask. Does the goblin free-for-all rule still apply when it comes to camping?

I'm not referring to sitting directly in front of Sewer town and waiting for goblins to pop out and meet perma-death. I mean sitting outside quest areas and ambushing goblins the instant they return. The way I figure it, it's illegal to sit out in the middle of the dark and camp at random monster spawn points. Isn't it even worse when it comes to killing level 2 and 3 PC's? At 100 gold a kill and no risk for yourself, it's pretty easy to do.

Camping on transitions/spawn points is strictly against PvP rules.

There are of course some case-by-case situations that can come up (waiting for someone isn't -always- illegal), but it is usually pretty obvious when it is an situation that's not allowed. Like Metro said.

So, to clarify, it is often fine to be waiting for someone, but camping right at a transition or spawn point is always illegal.

You can wait -near- a transition, say you know someone in inside a building and you're waiting for them to come out. You can wait for them outside, that is fine. You just can't wait directly on the other side of the door.

The reason for this is that some people load the game more quickly than others. Unfortunately, if you're waiting for someone, their PCs 'body' will appear before the screen has loaded on their end. If you attack someone as they come through a transition, before they move or do anything else, you're way too close.

A good rule of thumb to use when gauging if you're too close to the transition is to wait until they've said something, performed an action (drink potion, draw blades) or taken at least three paces. That is usually more than enough assurance that the PVP is legitimate.
