How many kobold players are there out there?

Just wondering how many kobold players there are out there.

I don't think there are many, but the Gob-fad is over.

Good thing, too. At one time I saw seven goblin characters and six standard characters on the character roster. Would've stopped the 'Must be evil, but no app required' rule for goblins.

Wouldn't it be one of those annoying FOIG thingys?

The PC goblin population is currently larger, I believe. However, that's a constantly changing fact and as a kobold or goblin, you're always facing the danger of permanent death.

That being said, I think there are some interesting perks to playing a goblin or kobold. One of the things you'll defenatly be facing is a lot of PvP, possibly FD. There are a always a few people who will let you off with just a warning or arrow in the back and thus giving the conflict a chance last a little longer and grow, for IC reasons or just because they are OOC considerate. However, there are people who won't do that, and also for perfectly legit reasons.

What I do want people to do though, is read up on the special rules regarding these races before playing them, and since they are subject to so much PvP, please use common sense when engaging in it. I've seen and experienced a large number of goblin/kobold PCs, no names mentioned, that have acted quite unacceptable when it comes to this.

If you're out for that survival and outwsider feeling, play them. If you dislike PvP and being constantly on the run, constantly threatened and forced to watch your back, don't.

There are currently 31 goblins marked active, and 13 kobolds marked active.

31 - 13. Oooooh. This war just got interesting.

I have a kobold I almost never play, because you can't do much outside roleplaying "please don't kill me!" Which is fine. I was able to provide some amusement to a pair of DMs at least recently. So kobolds aren't completely useless.

Kobolds are fun but if you suck at pvp it isn't much help really when you are playing a perma death always hunted race. Then again I've seen some very well played goblins and kobolds. Most recently two Kobolds who were quite amusing.
