is an application necessary to have a character that comes from a metafaction area..?

for example..

A Cave Worm Clan Barbarian or a human rogue who comes from the machine seperatisits area etc.

just a bit confused after reading the Open metafactions Announcment.

You will need one for the Cave Worm Clan, because they are a DM faction (albeit a small one) with the standard benefits which come along with that, including free resting and NPC support. You do not have to send in application for the Mycopolis metafaction that they belong to, though. Similarly, you would need a Spellguard app but not one for just being someone from the Machinist metafaction.

Also, for metafaction board access, please contact the player moderator of the metafaction you think your character should belong to.
