It doesn't take much to notice the forums have been pretty slow and instable recently. I contacted the webhost and their support did identify that there are some problems on the particular server this site is running on and they are working to resolve them.

Of course we don't know what the problems are >_>

Hopefully this will go away on it's own and soon!

So, the problem has been resolved, appearently a faulty switch which was the transport between the web serving machine and the mysql machine we use. Hopefully things will be back to normal.
