I'm not sure where to post this. I'm not sure if it is a bug.
I bought the Knock Spell Scroll from Sugrum in the Market. Kepler learned the spell, (being an amateur wizard lvl 3 atm).
The Knock Spell reads as an AOE spell. Now I know its a bit rich (much like the Find Traps AOE effect, which has been changed) but I thought I'd try it; so I cast Knock outside a door, which I have tried numerous times to use 'open locks' on, and the door has a DC check much higher than what my open locks thieving ability is capable of opening (which is fine). The spell was succesfully cast (no spell failure - I cast in cloth to make sure). The door with the High DC did not open.
So I ask: Does the knock spell need to actually target the door (place the cursor on the door) for it to work? Or can the Knock spell be cast in a general area and it will open all locked doors/boxes in the AOE? see here about a previous door/chest Knock use)Perhaps the Knock spell been disabled?
I suppose the third option is.. though the door has a DC check upon it (it does not require a specific key to unlock).. Perhaps the door is magically sealed? I imagine the game mechanics would require a specific Key in the Inventory of the person that wishes to open a magically sealed door, much like any faction buildings.
Perhaps this has been answered already elsewhere. Its something I've been planning when my character attained the appropriate level and the coin to buy the scroll and the time to learn it.
Any thoughts?
