BUgged quest

Ghoul quest is not working right, the spawns just stand there waving there arms aboout for like 30 seconds.

This happened to me as well when last I did this quest. They didn't even register the presence of our PCs. We thought it was due to the horrendous lag of the server at the time, however.

I was with Thomas. About eighty percent of the time they reacted, but sluggishly. Fifteen percent of the time they didn't react at all. Five percent of the time they reacted normally. I don't know if the enemy-at-the-end-that-can't-be-hit-and-will-remain-unnamed-to-prevent-spoilers was reacting normally or not, but it got us three times. Ouch.

Later on, sewer rats were reacting the same way as the enemies in the quest, sluggishly and only a few got to attack, so perhaps the server just needed a reset. My group all unanimously agreed that the lag was serverside, since none of us were experiencing any lag at all.

did you have any script errors at the start of the quest herer?

Exactly the same thing happened to me and my party a while ago. The start of the quest was followd by a lot of Script Errors, and a theory was that some script had bugged up the AI.

All spawns on the entire server were acting up. There was no visible player lag, but NPC's of all types, even NPC dialog acted as if the server was on the verge of crashing. Hostile NPC's just stood still, or turned to act as if they wanted to attack but were rooted in place. Then suddenly if they aren't attacked shortly they'll teleport to where ever your location is (or somewhere near your location) and stand there. Some will, however decide to attack. NPC's that cast spells seem to function normally. The only difference is that they simply spam their spells and stay in place.

Dialog was also lagging. Everything seemed to be working perfectly until I saw this script error.

Script d1_efuqs_give, OID: 800014f4, Tag: Biamo, ERROR: TOO MANY INSTRUCTIONS

God damnit Biamo! *shakes fist*

It isn't his fault you give him too much to do. He isn't your slave. :(

But.. Yeah. The Ghoul quest works fine when the server isn't lagging massively.

Looking back, I think there was an error message! I didn't think anything of it at the time.

I'll check again to confirm everything.
