Join the most secret organization.... ever!

Okay, maybe it is not so secret anymore. :(

The Cult of Shar is looking to bolster its ranks with new, fresh blood. Be all the evil that you can be, with Shar!

I cannot really go into details about the cult due to metagaming issues, but I can say that we are involved directly and indirectly in many plots currently taking place on the server. Almost any character concept can work, of any race, but please no Dark Moon Monks. They are something completely separate.

What we need: We are in bad need of clerics. A clerics role in the Sharran faith is two fold: Organizing and pushing the cult forward, and recruiting new members to the cult are the primary jobs.

We are also in need of most other classes, however if you wish to become an assassin for Shar that is also desirable. Assassins make for wonderful Sharrans because they deal in spreading loss and perpetuating vengeful actions.

We can work with any class and almost any concept, with the exception of Dark Moon Monks. They are not associated with the clergy of Shar.

If you are even remotely interested and want to play a character that is the embodiment of evil itself send me a private message.

If you are currently playing a Sharran and wish to get in contact with the cult proceed to this link.

About Shar and her followers:

A Sharran is a different breed of evil than you generally find here on the server. They do not seek to conquer. They do not seek to rule. They do not kill for the pleasure of killing. No, the evil of Shar is a subtle thing, and far more sinister than most are accustomed too. It is a poison that eats away at their souls and it is a disease that they seek to actively spread to others.

They spread their darkness in many ways, but most often those who find themselves under a Sharrans sway do not even fully realize it until it is too late. Loss, bitterness, hatred and vengeance are all seeds sown by a follower of Shar, and Sanctuary is a place ripe with these emotions. Even the most noble of Paladins are not immune to Shar's dark touch.

A Sharran is vile. They seek to ruin lives, relationships, businesses, all in an effort to spread loss. It is believed that through these actions the individuals involved will ultimately find themselves moving closer to Shar. This is not necessarily due to the loss itself, but more often due to the negative reactions and emotions associated with the loss.

However, this is not the only type of Sharran you can or will find. At the lowest level some who join in worship of Shar simply want to belong to something greater than themselves, something dark and naughty. They may not even really believe that Shar can see, hear or touch them in some way, until of course, they are called into her service, and then it is often too late to turn back. Others, like the above mentioned are the truly committed, those who are deeply dedicated to bringing about the dark goddess ultimate goal of nihilism. It is the effective equivalent of mass murder and suicide all at once, the desire to see everything that exists and ever will exist destroyed including themselves.

Others may find themselves drawn to Shar for the belief that she can ease the suffering and pain in their lives, and this is especially true in the Underdark where there is an unending night. Some may feel embracing Shar is necessary to survive in the Underdark, while others embrace her to further their own goals effectively selling their souls to an ultimate evil to further their own (often immoral) objectives.

No matter the reason people find themselves drawn to Shar they are all united and bound by secrets. This ensures that if anyone betrays another, which is rare because they are united in faith they will end up destroying themselves in the process. No one can truly join a Sharran cell without committing some dark deed that can be used against them should they betray their faith. (Not to mention a very, very bad afterlife.)

All of the above describes, in the briefest and most general of terms what type of individuals find themselves in the service to Shar. Virtually speaking, you can exist in any other faction within Sanctuary simultaneously. A Sharran can easily blend in and go unnoticed and this is often their desire. Most Sharrans do not wish to lead openly, but rather work and manipulate from the darkness.

Dark clothing and monikers a must.

9lives Dark clothing and monikers a must.

Purple highlights and pale skin too!

I've heard this is an excellent group to get involved with, and has some of the funnest times despite the misery inherent to the concept. Some previous exploits of the Sharran clergy as an example:

Murder.

Intrigue.

Loss.

Why, Shar? Why?

After you kill a selunite, you realize you made a mistake in giving your identity as a sharran away,, Which ends up killing you

Thomas_Not_very_wise After you kill a selunite, you realize you made a mistake in giving your identity as a sharran away,, Which ends up killing you

Generally speaking, the idea is not to get caught! (And if you are, to kill all the witnesses.)

Also, sometimes killing them yourself isn't a good idea. That is why assassins are useful tools to employ, as well as finding information out about the character you want to kill, and using it to your advantage to ensure someone else does it for you unknowingly.

And if you screw up really bad, then it's time to disappear, fake your death, and come up with a new identity.

Agreed when I kill a person I generally try to hide the truth. Hell this one time I murdered a guy and made his body disapear.

*Spoiler attacked me in a room at the rockbottom for spoiler reason!.*

I killed him and he was lieing dead on the floor I took money and important stuff. Then I summoned a ooze to devour a corpse and belongings then I Unsommoned the ooze and went downstairs. Where suddenl y an old man Npc tells a watchman that he heard screams from the room.

I just said "Oh those where my own screams you see an ooze came out of my pack and sort of damaged the floor."

Watchman checks it out and notices the floor is damaged.

Then specer twist is all. HEY 'Your gonna pay for the floor so I end up paying like 50 gold!.

Then the watch man is all Hey Wait a minute! At first I was all crap the watchman isnt that stupid.

then he said. "Next time Dont put oozes in your pack its a very bad idea."

Ok I said then I left.

Also there are times I killed people and put there bodys in *spoiler*

No no, I just made the mistake of accidently giving away my entire sharran cell, while I did kill the fellow, Grantie was killed by those he told :D

Hot Sharran chicks produce the greatest emo e-romances. Those gothic features, that sad, forlorn life, and that pale, flawless complexion... once you get the royal purple off your Sharran babe, you'll get lost in the Void and won't want to go back.

I've got a secret organization so secret, not even I know what it is.

Really...I'm not even sure it exists. It's that secret.
