Hey everyone,
New player with a quick question: Do user-written journal notes get deleted when the server restarts?
I tend to get names mixed up rather easily, so I want to jot down quick notes so I don't get characters confused, but that won't help if the notes are deleted along with the quest entries.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Welcome to EfU, I've seen your PC around a bit and you seem great. Your journal is entirely client-side saved, you can actually edit it or copy it outside of NWN. Somewhere in your nwn directory, and it will certainly persist through resets.
Useful tool to be sure.

Your ingame journals are stored as a text file in your local vault folder in your nwn directory. Filename is the same as your characters.
Cheers.

Tip: It's smart to write down prices for potions, scrolls, wands... To write down keys of plots, or what bounty you'll be collecting after that.
What I like most about it though, is that you can actually create your journal IG, and publicise it at any convenient moment by opening the folder and pasting it on the forum.

I use journal ig mostly for making calculations for rewards and other ic notes. It was especialy handy whilist I was a guard writing down notes from reports.
