I hope this letter finds you well, as we have not had chance to catch up for a good few cycles.

The reason I am writing to you, is to ask for some assistance in a project I am undertaking. A customer of the company has requested that we search for an artifact that he has a keen interest in, and I was hoping you might be able to help me with a little research.

The artifact I am looking for has been described as a circular ring of metal, enscribed with runes of the Svirfneblin language. This ring was created at some point before the Machine was abandoned, but has since been broken up into a number of pieces. It is been suggested that the runes upon the ring, glow gently when the ring is held, and it is speculated that the individual pieces retain this function.

I would be very greatful if you could look for any references to an artifact of this nature in your library, or possible places where such an item might be located. I'm sure we can come to some arrangement to compensate you for your time in this matter.

A sealed letter is slid under the door of Room 12 in the Last Stand addressed to "Gobi Stendle, Dunwarren Pathfinding Services" It reads:

Hail Gobi,

I have passed your request for knowledge onto Miss Adelia Tyrell who passes most of her leisure time now in the Sanctaury Library. Given some quiet time, I am hoping she will be able to locate the resources you are seeking in regards to this Svirfnebli artifact. I am sure something will come of it.

I trust all is well with you and yours. I send Mystran blessings to Master Roarin; from all reports that I have heard, he is incredibly busy at present. May he remain fit and able to perform at the peak of his powers!
