Quest NPC dialog

I love the setting, the quests and the people of EFU. However, as a rather inexperienced player at this server I am at times a bit annoyed by the dialog with NPCs that hands out quests.

When I discover an NCP that hands out a new quest, I am often alone. In this case most of them refuse to give any details about the quest they presumably are offering. 'Do you have any work?' 'Nope' (Min party size 3).

So if I want to try the quest I have to 1. Metagame the existence of a quest, despite the NPC telling me nothing about it. 2. Gather people for a group without having any details of the work. Paraphrased: 'Do you want to join for some work?' 'What work is it?' 'I don't know, I just met this man that seemed to need help with something, wouldn't tell me what' 3. Then, finally, when I get to know what the quest is, it could well be some shady thing or so that is not at all suitable for, say, my pure heart paladin.

So I'm thinking: perhaps the 'no suitable group' check could be done just a little later in the conversation?

I realize it would be tedious and boring to go change this everywhere, but perhaps it can get some attention when you happen to update a quest NPC dialog for other reasons.

The quest dialogue varies across NPCs, not all follow the same pattern. And, for some, this is the case.

Should I read that as: 'this is chosen by design'?

I am sure you are right that there are places where this makes sense (I have likely only met a small fraction of the quest NPCs). But in most cases I have seen (mid level quests still within the city) I just don't get it.

For example, why would an organized 3+ person party ever storm into the small [minor spoiler] and ask Adelia Tyrell for work when she always denies the existence of any such work when you talk to her alone? Is there any in-game motivation for her to keep quiet about the work until then?

But it is not as this is some huge issue. I just thought it was more an oversight than an actual design choice.

In Adelia Tyrell's case, the noticeboard in Town Hall had "Exploration for Councillor Tyrell" on it.

In some other places, the only warning you have is "Start quest?"
