we need specific roll checks for the bardsongs and all. my reasons for this are ones i do not think anyone should be able to argue against with some sense behid it and here they are.
for one my level 4 bard is a crappy bard i would say but everyone loves his songs. They almost never fail a good check mainly because of my 19 skill in it.
secondly we have a few bards not many but do any of them sing alittle badle even?
lastly almost all of our bards where made to have a good perform check well...they all seem to have one. we need the set perform checks for this reason they can all get about a 26-31 max at level 4

I've read over this post a handful of times now and still am not quite sure what you're trying to say, but I'll give it a shot.

A level 4 bard can have a max Perform check of 27 + Charisma modifier + item bonuses. Given my impression of how people usually build bards, coupled with the large pool of items with Perform skill bonuses available, a check of 19+ at level 4 is to be expected.

EfU has plenty of bards and many of them sing. Bard and singer are not interchangeable, however, and you'll find many bards in EfU's history that weren't/aren't singers.

Perform not only is a class skill for bards, it's an
exclusive skill, meaning only bards can put ranks in it. Bards are
meant to have a high Perform skill in order to function optimally, as is also suggested by the
Bard Song table.

Now, what I
think you're requesting is a range of set DCs that, if beaten, should provoke a certain reaction from the audience (see
related thread), like
this. I think I can say for certain that that is not going to happen. You should
not expect any reaction whatsoever on a Perform check of 50 if all you did was [Hums a happy tune] -- I'm pretty sure I share this view with the DMs -- and I can't in my wildest dreams imagine that enforced by a rule.
For future references you may want to proof read your posts to make sure your point is getting across.

Bear in mind, however, that this is NWN exclusive. In accordance to the D&D ruleset, any class should be able to put points in Perform as a full skillset. It had no use in NWN however, so Bioware made it an exclusive. Shadowdancers, as an example, are required to have 5 points of Perform in order to be able to acquire the PrC.

Of course, my dear Wannabe Germanophiliac, but PnP mechanics mean little to the Aurora engine.

C'mon guys throw him a bone. Toss in a little monkey or something with a dialogue where he wants you to perform somehow, but will fling poo if you're horrible.

If your a crappy half orc who can barely sing Sug will ignore you like he does most other bards. You cant force someone to like your music. As an example some people like Billy Joel and others like Children of Bodom (obviously much better :D ). Another is Picasso's art, I think some guy just had double vision and got lucky, others think he was a genious.
