Alyssara Nil'vara, Last Stand Inn

Alluring Magess,

Do not be flustered or disturbed by your lover's advances. When romance stirs the heart of one who has suppressed feelings for so long, it may often come in an erratic, confusing fashion to you. For him, however, it is simply the puzzling manifestation of feelings that he has never considered he would know. Consider this, and look upon his advances with insight into why they are as they are.

Do not rebuff him entirely, or consider him foolish. Set the pace of your relationship-slow his feelings to the glacial romance that elves are so prone to favor. Show him what you expect from him, and lead him through the proper dictates of courtship that you will search for. Romance has bloomed in his heart, and he is wholly unprepared to deal with it. Do not spurn him, but look at his affection for what it is-and offer it the chance to be reciprocated within your own heart.

Open yourself to him as a beautiful rose slowly blooms under the care of light. Treat him as a rose long kept in darkness, that must now adapt to and live under sunlight, if it is to survive. Allow romance to develop slowly between you, and perhaps, just perhaps, you will one day find that love will spring forth, in all its beauty and unerring glory.
