Bards and songs

Alright, now I'm not sure if this has been asked before, but I am going to ask it again. How should people react to a good bardsong? At this point my character has a considerable perform modifier, on top of real hand written songs and stories. I find it strange that I can roll a 47 on perform and everyone is simply silent. At what point is a song considered ok, good, or absolutely fantastic? Should players be giving more of a reaction, or am I hoping for too much?

A perform check of 47 is pretty stellar. That would be along the lines of a spectacular concert performance, or akin to simply the best song (or whatever) you have ever seen or heard. In canon, that approaches the DC you need to gain the interest of an outsider in your performance.

Whether or not they do anything with that interest is of course, up to them. But, slug PCs can react any way they want really. They just may not like or understand the intricasies of your art, or how "hard" that particular piece was.

I see, I was just wondering because its the silence that bothers me most, even if people emoted that they listened, somehow I would feel better, regardless of how much they liked it.
