Temple of Hoar

Okay, this thing is getting really old. Yes we know how hard it is to go into the tunnel. But the quest ISNT to kill that one guy, it is to slay all undead you find. So please people, stop metagaming and saying we did the accomplished quest, we haven't.

O_o

Well, technically, they just ask to empty the *spoilery crypt* out of *spoilery monsters*.

I haven't done the quest in a while, but from I remember, killing the guy at the end means that you actually have killed all the undead in the temple, which is what you were hired to do. Hopping down the hole takes you to a cave system that the undead used to claw their way up into the temple and isn't another level of the temple.

That said, people are perfectly valid in saying "We killed all the undead in the temple", and it's perfectly alright for cowardly, greedly, or lazy parties to turn back.

I pretty much agree with what Scalebane said, but wanted to add a couple of things.. a couple of really obvious things. I think it is legit to say you killed everything inside of the temple, because that hole is not technically the temple, this is also a way for a greedy or cowardly person to turn back, or talk the rest of the party out of pursuing the *spoilers* any further. But one thing I can not stand to see while doing this quest is when holy types, Paladins, will not even try to investigate the hole, or get a peek into the hole and decide that it's too dangerous, or that they'd rather not. I'm sure all paladins are different, and I probably shouldnt group them all into the spoiler slaying category, but I mean..come on >_>

Perfect case of: "Read before you rant."

In MANY situations, responsible types would, upon discovering an anomaly leading to unknown dangerous places, may want to report said anomaly to the powers that be.

People fail to see that the hole is kind of obscured by a large sarcophagus. You have to actually search around to see it. Once you've killed everything in that room and would take a look around, you'd see no more doors and naturally assume you're done. On the contrary, it's the people that metagame the transition that annoy me. It's basically a transition to pain, which you can't back out off before consuming a helluva lot of consumables. Seriously. You people are giving it your best not to seem like metagamers that you actually become one.

Take a step back, and think it over.
