Tyrus Creed, New Dunwarren

Greetings, sir.

I am Thorain Thainesson, scout and archer. I have previously assiste both the Watch and the Seekers with some tasks of importance, although It was long ago now. I have had a word with a mutual acquaintance, Kasin Moonbane, who spoke of the current problems and goings-on. Considering the situation, I would consider myself a poor show of a man if I did not offer my help. My skills are primarily focused on scouting and stealthy movement, although I can accomplish some feats also with traps and locks.

If you need any assistance with such matters as you deem I could be helpful with, please send me a note at the Last Stand Inn, in Sanctuary.

Torain Thainsesson,

Thank you for your letter. You're right, considering the situation I agree that your help will be undoubtly valuable. There's several matters you could help me with. It's however of foremost importance that you:

Do not involve anyone else directly. Do not cause unnecessary chaos and don't tell anyone, not even your friends, about the troubles ahead of us. If it comes to a point where this is needed, I will announce it myself. Do not ever speak on the subject outside warded areas. If you do, the Lich will know.

Those are the terms you must accept before I can fully fill you in on the subject and the matters at hand which I'd like you to look into.

Sir,

that is understood, and I accept those terms without reservation. Will await further instructions.

Thorain Thainesson,

I have received your letter and I'm glad to hear you're so willingly to help. I'll brief you in more fully in person; but you can begin investigating the following few matters:

- Possible entrances to a place below Goblin Town - The source which keeps animating the many corpses spread throughout Goblin Town - Any information regarding the presence of a Lich within Dunwarren - Documentary and the like. Please try to refrain from asking and concerning her denizens with it unless an absolute necissity. - Find out what you can about the socalled "Slaad Fever"

Remember to try and keep yourself from speaking to anyone on the subject outside warded areas. I know I can count on you.

Torm's Faithful, Tyrus Creed

Sir,

I have some information on the Slaad Fever. I am a bit unsure about the details in the current situation, but here is what I know: Slaad Fever comes in two instances. In both cases the final stage is eithe death or transformation into a Slaad, either Blue or Red. * The First Instance comes in the shape of a pellet, inplanted by a Red Slaad. The Red Slaad that hits with its claws can inject an egg into its foe, which slowly turns into a Blue Slaad - finally erupting from the host in a rather gory fashion, eating its way out after one week and killing the host. The final stage of this disease is entered twenty-four hours prior to the egg hatching - the victim will fall extremely ill and be unable to perform basically any basic function. However, a remove disease spell can sometimes cure it - as can a rather advanced surgical removal of the egg. * The Second Instance is caused by Blue Slaad bite. The Blue Slaad's bite causes a disease which slowly, over one week, turns the victim into a Red Slaad. I imagine it can be stopped with some form of medication or remove disease magic, but I am uncertain.

These are the only two types of Slaad Fever to my knowledge before recorded. Slaad Fever isn't infectous in the way of normal disease in that it has to be infected separately each instance through either a Blue or Red Slaad. However, the situation now encountered seems to be a bit outside of the framework. I'll keep looking into it.

Sir,

in order to facilitate the search for information on this Lich, I have a request. As I know very little of this lich - though I do know a great deal of liches in general - I request any information you have on it, from the start. Either verbally or in writing. I hope we can get to the bottom of this soon.
