Ever been out to Sslal'teesh? Go there and head up a stream from the docks into a river cavern. A slight walk and there's a rise out of the water. Up the rise, walk it and down again, then to your north up the very left side of the cave. You'll see another cave off to the side, in there is a pillar with all sorts of jibberish on it. Tell me what the pillar says and we can talk Underdark lore. Cheers!

I've been there, I've also been into the Commune Machine where I did battle with a death Slaad, I have been to Adun'ubis, where the Carrion Lord reigns supreme, I've been in the Sand Caverns to do battle with MIndflayers and beholders, I have Fought Orogs, Drow, with great friends and warriors I can trust my life to. I have been chased the underdark by Sharrans, Sailed across the Dark Lake, eventually helping the group slay a drow Slaver. I have fought dragons, with friends, and won. (Waken re-reads the note, the coughs but sends the note anyways and plans a trip to Sslal'teesh)

The pillar describes a necromatic ritual involving spirits. Currently the Pillar will Summon Malignant Shades, when the proper ritual is invoked. The Pillar assumes the person to know how to use it, so, I cannot tell you how to use it, even if I could, I wouldn't tell anyone i haven't met. now ya know what the pillar does.
