Watchmen,

The council has received the following perplexing letter:

We have the Tinker. The insane gnome is ours, and will be killed within three darks unless the Council, the Watch, and the Spellguard agree to our terms:

You will pay us a sum of 5000 coin.

You will give us a seat on the Council, as representatives of the druidic and shamanistic peoples of Sanctuary.

The Spellguard will *cease* all activities involving the great Machine - it is an abomination and will not be tolerated.

If these terms are not met, the gnome dies.

It doesn't make much sense to me at all, and I suspect its some kind of ploy or quip. In any case, it may be true and I'd rather err on the side of caution. So here it is, forwarded for investigation.

The matter will be posted for investigation and monitoring by the Watch, but the lack of any tangible evidence as to the meaning or nature of this note suggest that it may simply be an absurd demand from an insane resident of Lower Sanctuary. Any information uncovered will be forward immediately.
