Journal of Roland Sin

I Have been in Sanctuary a few days now. I know very little about it, but plan to find out more. I met a man named Strife who guided me to the blue fungus inn. His kindness was curious. he does not know me, yet he offered his help. Oddly enough this man was also capable of doing magic. I never thought that such was real, only had I read about it in stories.Nevertheless, I am very curious about the ways of magic.

Strife seemed concerned when I told him of my home and inabiltiy to say it's name aloud. He took me to the spellguard where I was questioned, and apparentlly ensured though magical means that I am not a spy. These ways of magic I must say are rather unnerving.

I must find out the significance of my home, and why my presence here is perceived from the townsfolk as a threat.

NARBONDELLYN

What can't I remember about this place that is so important???

...furthermore, Why can't I speak it's name aloud???

There must be drow in this forsaken place somewhere. I've been taking work with whomever offers it, just for the opportunity to find out more about this "sanctuary". I believe I need to find work further out from the cities gates. Perhaps then I can find my brethren.

Growing up all I ever new was the drow life, the drow ways. I fear they knew magic, yet sheltered me from it. Very rarely was I ever allowed to leave the Matron's home. Only once they allowed me to witness the slaying of a betrayer, and that was by blade. I'll never forget the look on Cera's face when I drove that blade into her chest.

I was only ten

It was how I became accepted as their own.

since that day, it has all I have ever known.
