There are scroll of Phantasmal Killer for sale. At an affordable price. I'd suggest taking this away, for it can easely ruin alot of fun.

There area easy to get level 1 spell potions available to protect against this spell. But then again that does'nt stop the occasional TN tossing the spell for no good reason.

You've pretty darn good reflexes if you can quaff that level 1 potion before the sneaky mage has already PhK'd you.

Its the first thing anybody fighting a mage or expecting a mages attack quaffs if they have a wisdom score or 10+. Then again they can pop out of invisible and cast the spell. However mages don't generally just pop out of invisible with a killing spell just because they're evil. They usualy show some sign there going to take you down. Anyway how affordable is affordable? if its over 1000 I'd say leave it.

Scroll of PhK has a DC of 16. You get 2 DC 16 saves to avoid death - that ain't too bad, all things considered, and considering the price the attacker pays.

I say leave it, last time i check it was around 1500 gold, and even if you take it away people can still get that spell on level up.

Yes but getting the spell because you earned it as a class ability is one thing.....it's not only bad because it gives mages the spell, but because anyone who has 1 level of arcane caster or is a bard/rogue can burn the scroll to activate it on someone.

To use the scroll you'd have to roll a UMD check wouldnt you? And if you fail it, you just waisted 1500 gold.

If you have a level of arcane caster, no roll is necesary.

And people wonder why I multiclassed Krushen to a Sorcerer. ...Suckers. :P
