'Keeper of the Balance',

Should you wish to keep that despicable title of yours, you will read this intently. Six worthless human children from your town have been captured by myself, they are being holed in some cave 'blocked' by a rock. They are poisoned and slowly dieing. I left them with 5 days of food rations.

I will release them on the condition that 'you' -never- harm a spider again, and that you fight me alone at the bridge leading to the city of Chabzash.

Killing me will achieve nothing as the children will still rot in their hole. Do not try to deceive me, my words are the actual terms and there is no way out of this.

Saying anything of this will be known to me, and I will simply kill the children. It would be a loss of time for us both.

You shouldn't have tracked me in these sewers, this is -your- failure.

I have no need to harm any spider that has not been twisted and that does not needlessly seek to harm me. Understand, the town 'Sanctuary' is not mine, nor does me following warrant a challenge. I wished to merely speak and you fled as if I had done some wrong to you. I want proof of your so called captives from the stolen town. I need not fight you though your actions and words now show you to be the sort that seems inevitable to oppose in one way or another. Your kind that has the soul as you do are evil and have no honor, so I will show you no such thing until you give me reason to . If you truly wish to face me in combat, you will provide me evidence of what I asked for.

You spoke as if you were some mighty power that looked down upon surfacers but know this, you are only more fit for the Underdark than -most- by the sheer amount that you cower under rocks and use trickery to attack as the surface snake does.
