The Spellguard seek to instill total social control over Sanctuary, turning it into a town of mindless automatons from humans to machines. Ideally, we'd all be turned into mindless zombies but as they've not yet discovered a means of breeding zombies--they seek other means of control. Mostly through the power of their animatrons.

4. Spellguard wards don't hide magic. They have nothing to do with hiding magic, but are part of a ploy to keep the use of all magic; divine and arcane; under their control to allow them to maintain absolute authority even over the Council through the power of their unregulated magical authority.

5. As we all know, and the dying agent confirmed, Grigor Stirag is indeed an animatron. It was made from the flesh of demons sacrificed in unholy rituals to Urdlen, and then the flesh was wrapped around an internal gear body.

5. The Spellguard is enacting horrible rites to obtain immortality, seeking the path to lichdom or even binding their own souls into their machines.

6. All of this has been done by the Spellguard at the urging of their vampire bitch queen, Melinda Bresley. Who even now feeds on the blood of citizens in Lower Sanctuary.

7. Victoria Colivin was murdered by the Spellguard using explosive animatrons because she refused to aid their plot to replace her whores with sex-itrons which would have the power to enslave men even deeper into the Spellguard’s control.
